On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Zoo Cleves (“Tiergarten Kleve”), the famous China Lights will delight Cleves for the first time from 10th February to 30th March 2024! Look forward to Chinese lantern art that brings an exotic ambience to the Lower Rhine with thousands of LEDs. Glowing animals, mystical creatures and Chinese dragons await you every day from 6pm to 9pm. With its own illumination of the Playmore Fantasy Adventure Playground and numerous interactive elements, China Lights at Zoo Cleves is the event for the entire family.

* All prices apply exclusively to the evening China Lights event after the zoo closes

Holders of an annual pass to Zoo Cleves receive a 15% discount for this special event. Please show your valid annual pass when purchasing your China Light ticket at the box office.

 

China Lights – the event for the entire family! Daily from 10.02.2024 to 30.03.2024 from 6pm to 9pm (last admission: 8.30pm) at Zoo Cleves.

  • Less than an hour from Duisburg, Oberhausen and Krefeld!
  • Only 40 minutes from Nijmegen and Arnhem!
  • Our animals can choose whether to spend the evening in their protected indoor areas or in the outdoor enclosures. Experience has shown that they are not disturbed by the light installations.
  • Please note that China Lights tickets are day-bound and cannot be rebooked for another day or canceled.
  • Dogs are not allowed at China Lights.

 

Important information for China Lights
If possible please use a bicycle or public transportation (RE 10, SB 58) for your journey to China Lights Cleves. If you come by car please also use the parking lot at the Gesamtschule am Forstgarten (10 minutes walk through the historic park directly to the zoo) or one of the numerous public parking lots in Cleves (e.g. Wasserburgallee, Minoritenplatz,…). Please only park in designated areas and note that parking along the street “Tiergartenstraße” and in grassy areas is not permitted. On busy days we reserve the right to restrict admission to China Lights Cleves so that only people who have already purchased a day-dated ticket will be admitted.
