China Lights

Following last year’s great success, China Lights will return in 2025 and once again enchant the city of Kleve! Look forward to an all-new lantern show that will immerse you in a magical world with thousands of LEDs and countless new spectacular light installations. China Lights Kleve – exclusively from October 10 to November 30 2025, daily from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Zoo Cleves.

Ticket prices
€17 for adults // €10.50 for children (from 2 up to and including age 13)

These prices apply exclusively to the evening China Lights event (after zoo closing time).

 

New in 2025: Combo Tickets for Zoo Visit + China Lights
Combo tickets will be available in 2025 for a daytime visit to the zoo plus evening access to China Lights:
€24.50 for adults // €15.50 for children (from 2 up to and including age 13)

 

Holders of an annual pass for Zoo Cleves receive a 15% discount on this special event (only available at the zoo’s ticket counter). Discounted tickets for annual pass holders are only available on-site, not online. Please show your valid annual pass at the time of purchase.

 

China Lights – a magical event for the whole family! Daily from October 10th to November 30th, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (last admission at 8:30 p.m.) at Zoo Cleves.

  • Less than an hour from Duisburg, Oberhausen and Krefeld!
  • Only 40 minutes from Nijmegen and Arnhem!
  • Our animals can choose to stay in their indoor or outdoor enclosure at night. Experience shows they are not disturbed by the light installations.
  • Please note: China Lights tickets are date-specific and cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Dogs are not permitted at China Lights.

 

Important travel information
If possible, please come by bicycle or public transport (RE 10, SB 58). If arriving by car, please consider parking at the Gesamtschule am Forstgarten (10-minute walk through the historic park to the zoo) or other public parking areas in Kleve (e.g., Wasserburgallee, Minoritenplatz). Only park in designated areas – parking along the Tiergartenstraße or on the grass is not permitted. On busy days, access to China Lights Kleve may be limited. Only visitors with a pre-purchased, date-specific ticket will be admitted.
